General guidelines

​

Ink & Sword aims to be a source of clean fiction where readers can enjoy a good story without the profuse use of profanity, sexual or violent content. We seek and prioritize imaginative, thought-provoking, possibly original content and ideas.

 

We specialize in fictional writing, such as, short stories, poetry, flash fiction, etc.; however, we also accept nonfictional writing such as, essays, biographies, memoirs, creative nonfiction, etc. 

 

​Entries must be print-ready: free of spelling/grammatical mistakes and appropriately structured .i.e. proper paragraphs and complete sentences. Ink & Sword reserves the right to edit your work, if necessary

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 

We do not accept any previously published content. Anything you send us must be original and written specifically for our magazine. We consider social media platforms, such as personal blogs, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. as 'previously published'. 

Exclusivity: The Author agrees not to publish or permit others to publish the submitted content in any form prior to publication in Ink & Sword Magazine and for a period of three months after publication, unless the Author obtains prior written approval. Ink & Sword retains non-exclusive archival rights.

By submitting to our magazine:

  • You have read the Submission Form thoroughly and understood our policies mentioned in it and on our website.

  • As the author, you are giving us consent to print your submission in our magazine.

 

Copies of our magazine are available in digital format only, on our website.

Not every submission will be selected to be published. ALL writers will be notified by email as to the status of their submissions a weeks prior to the publication date. If you have any other questions please contact us at inkandsword2018@gmail.com

  • Times New Roman, size 12 font

  • Double spaced lines

  • Submissions must only be sent using the Submission Form.

Payment

​

​Currently Ink & Sword is not paying its writers. However, we offer exposure and promotion to a broad audience, with lots of love!
